Enjoy festive dishes but take care of your look and feel

After a long time of pandemics and lockdowns, it’s that time of the year when you want to reboot yourself and enjoy the festive season with excitement and happiness. Hence, there is no doubt that you wish to look and feel your best. To better take care of your well-being this season, check out simple tips to help you shine both inside and outside while you enjoy delicious food these holidays.

1. Hydration is key

The festive season is associated with parties and drinks. It is normal and understandable that alcohol could make you merry and fun. However, do not forget a simple fact: dehydrating properties from alcohol can cause bad effects on your appearance by sucking the moisture out of your skin. This will result in an unhealthy or dry complexion. The effect of alcohol doesn't mean you have to completely stop yourself from drinking but it might be a good idea to keep it classy and not overdo it. Also, you can improve the condition of your skin by adding hydration. You can choose products that increase omegas and ceramides from the inside. Another option is to use hydrating facial spritzes often throughout the day and drink a lot of water to rehydrate.

2. Opt for a low-sugar beverage

Christmas or New Year's Eve are times when you are surrounded by sugar overloads such as candies, desserts, and drinks. Absorbing a large amount of sugar can negatively affect your natural skin’s structural support. Too much sugar can affect your collagen or lead to deeper wrinkling. So you should control the amount of sweet food you consume each day and choose low-sugar beverages to minimize the bad effects of sugar.

3. Keep smiling

We are well aware that outside looks are important but do not forget to take care of your mental health, especially during this season that although fun, it can bring some stress or even sadness for a lot of people. Your feelings can have positive or negative effects on your appearance. When you smile, the blood flow gets better and your skin receives more oxygen and nutrients. This is a simple way to relax for yourself as well as your skin and mental health. With a smile on your face, you can look radiant and happy too.

4. Getting enough sleep

Puffy eyes or dull complexion are caused by a lack of sleep. During the festive season, late-night parties or early mornings to prepare things can make you find it hard to sleep enough. Sleeping too little can affect the regeneration process and the skin's healing ability. Trying to find time during the day to take a nap or rest and let your skin have time to recover.

Those are tips that you can apply for the festive season to have a good look and feel. However, you should practice those things not only a couple of weeks a year, but make it become your daily routine. Not only festival season but every day, take care of yourself from the inside out to stay well and feel good.
